HOME

Yes it is summer and therefore I would like to share with you those beautiful outdoor images.

    Golden dreams

From golden luxury to the rustic modern idyll. From brooding city apartments to moody desert hideaways. Textured luxury with clean lined modern aesthetic. Tribal nuances meld with big city sophistication. It's as delicious as the rich honey tones so often present in the work. It's French design firm Studio KO.

    Hilltop House in Pasadena

The Hilltop House was originally designed by architect Thornton Ladd in 1953 and was reworked by Marmol Radziner.

    From the site:

Located in Pasadena, California, the Hilltop House and Studio were originally designed by architect Thornton Ladd in 1953. Spread over five acres, the mountaintop retreat is comprised of a 6,700 square foot house and a 1,300 square foot detached studio. The resident of the studio converted the space into a modern guest house. Ladd's original design integrated indoor and outdoor spaces and took advantage of the dramatic views. The owner's interest in Japanese architecture and design informed the choice of interior materials – warm woods including cedar and maple for the floors and ceilings, furnished with tatami mats.

    Loft San Paulo, Brasile

Ideally, wouldn't we all like to live in a climate where outdoor living is possible year-round? And wouldn't we love to live in a space where the divide between indoors and outdoors is non-existent? São Paulo-based Fernanda Marques has achieved this idealistic balance in São Paulo, Brazil, residence named Loft 24-7.
